Aaron’s 12 years of professional planning experience has primarily focused on project management of planning entitlements and design review analysis of urban development projects for public sector planning agencies in Northern and Southern California and Washington. He also has significant public sector planning experience managing the preparation of environmental documents under CEQA and managing long-range planning projects including policy development and zoning code development.
Aaron has proven success in project management demonstrated by navigating high-profile projects through the public review process in intense urban environments such as Downtown San Francisco and Downtown San Diego. He has also worked extensively with neighborhood and community groups to help them navigate and participate in the planning process. Project types for which Aaron has particular expertise include urban infill development, mixed-use development, transit-oriented development, adaptive re-use, commercial development, affordable housing and projects proposing general plan and zoning amendments.
Aaron has a B.S. in Geography from South Dakota State University. He is also a member of the American Planning Association and the Congress for New Urbanism.
Aaron enjoys a number of activities outside of work including biking, hiking, basketball (playing and watching), cooking, travel and reading.
