Brett is an experienced land use and environmental planner, with a portfolio spanning environmental review, development review, and long-range planning. His past work in both the private and public planning sectors encompassed feasibility research for large scale and mixed-use development projects, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance,and the preparation of General Plans, Specific Area Plans, and other technical land use planning documents.
Prior to joining M-Group, Brett worked for the San Francisco Planning Department, where he successfully managed environmental review for public and private projects, involving interpretation and explanation of legal, technical and procedural aspects of environmental review to the public and decision-makers; preparation of technical reports and correspondence; making presentations before City Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors, and at other public hearings and meetings.
Brett graduated with a BS in City and Regional Planning with a Sustainable Environments Minor from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He also holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco, which is a program based on sustainable management practices.
Outside of work, Brett enjoys spending time with friends and family, including his bulldog, G.O.B. and cat, Mahgeetah. He also enjoys mountain biking, skiing, swimming, live music, traveling and experiencing the outdoors.
