With nearly 20 years of professional planning experience and a Masters Degree in Urban and Region Planning, Christy Usher has worked in both regional and city planning on both the San Francisco and Monterey Peninsulas.
Early in her career, she worked as a regional planner for the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments followed by the City of Pacific Grove after graduating from University of California Santa Cruz with a BA in Environmental Studies and Land Use Planning.
Since 2000, she has worked on the San Francisco Peninsula in both suburban and urban jurisdictions including but not limited to the Cities of Saratoga, San Mateo, South San Francisco and Pacifica.
Her land use planning experience and expertise is in processing development applications for a variety of large scale commercial, multi-family, public facility, and office park developments, as well as, elementary and high school campus buildings, duplexes and single family dwelling development applications.
When she is not in the office, Christy is an avid sailor and spends her free time on the San Francisco Bay or at her portrait studio where she is a professional photographer.
