section 106 review

M-Group was hired by the City of Cotati to facilitate Section 106 Review for a Local Assistance Project. The project consisted of a roadway rehabilitation project with an Area of Potential Effects that encompasses the Cotati Hub, a historic designed landscape listed as a California Landmark. The Cotati Hub is one of only two hexagonal town plans in the United States and is the only fully realized hexagonal town plan in the United States. Its essential elements include the circulation pattern and configuration of the road. Accordingly, retention of the essential form of the plan remained at the forefront of our evaluation. M‑Group oversaw the preparation of required documentation including the Archeological Survey Report and prepared the Historic Resource Evaluation Report, Historic Property Survey Report, and Finding of Effect in consultation with interested parties. M-Group also worked collaboratively with the Archeological consultants in order to achieve a high level of consistency.
