Kristi has been involved in city planning for nearly twenty years.  Her interest in land use decisions and how cities are designed began when she worked as an environmental advocate after graduating from college, and it grew from there.  After living abroad in France for a couple of years, she returned to the Bay Area in 2000 and began working as a public agency planner.  She has worked directly for the cities of Hayward, Campbell, and Dublin on both current planning and development review as well as writing policy documents ranging from General Plan Elements to Specific Plans to Municipal Code updates.  Kristi's areas of expertise are project management and community engagement, and the more complex the project or issue, the better!

Kristi was the head of her own small planning firm from 2007 to 2010, providing planning services to public agencies and private‐sector clients including the cities of Belvedere, Dublin, Oakland, and San Ramon as well as developer Signature Properties, architect David Babcock & Associates, and non‐profit organization Heifer International.  After returning to the public sector for several years, Kristi joined M-Group in 2016 to head up the expanding East Bay office in Downtown Hayward.  She is working to make sure M-Group's clients in the East Bay are well-served and that M-Group's staff are engaged in a variety of interesting projects throughout the area.

Kristi received a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Santa Barbara with a double-major in Environmental Studies and Sociology.  She later obtained a Master of Urban Planning degree from San Jose State University, and completed the Green Building and Sustainable Design certificate program through UC Davis Extension in 2010.  Kristi earned her AICP certification in 2015.  She recently participated in the Northern Section APA Mentorship Program and enjoys being a resource for new planners.

Kristi loves watching any sport her two sons are involved in, and enjoys sneaking away for surprise weekend trips around California. Kristi practices yoga and loves spending time with friends. She continues to improve her running skills, and hopes to one day complete a race with a faster time than Emmanuel Ursu
