Justin Giarritta

Justin has a strong background in housing, land use and mobility. He has the ability to quickly assimilate changes and is always anticipating and looking forward to new challenges. His exceptional organizational skills enable him to complete tasks within the necessary time frames. Justin thrives in collaborative environments where he can take advantage of his great communication skills. 

Justin is currently working with City of Santa Clara as a Code Enforcement Technician. Prior to joining M-Group, he worked with the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency as a Housing Intern I, where he helped spur the development of affordable housing units throughout the city. While at the Neighborhood Empowerment Network, Justin worked with his team to identify neighborhood strengths and weaknesses and frame them as assetsHe has also worked with the City of San José in its Urban Village Plan along East Santa Clara Street, researching strategies for improving the corridor's land use and mobility patterns and moderating community meetings. 

Justin graduated with a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from San José State University. During his graduate career, he served as Social Chair for the Urban Planning Coalition. In April 2015, he attended the American Planning Association's National Conference in Seattle where APA honored the student-run organization with an award for their symposium, "Millennials and Boomers, Planning for Changing Demographics in the Bay Area." Justin is a founding member of the Upsilon Rho Beta Honors Society and has served as its Vice President. He holds two bachelors degrees from San Francisco State University, one in Urban Studies and Planning and another in Political Science. 

Outside of work, Justin enjoys spending time with his friends and family, traveling to new places, going to music festivals, trying new food, finding new adventures in the outdoors, and watching the San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors.
