Leslie Carmichael has more than 30 years of public sector experience in planning and affordable housing. She is highly knowleadgable in the review of complex projects, preparation of environmental documents, agenda management, public counter supervision, affordable housing strategies and management, zoning code updates, housing element updates and much more. Leslie has extensive experience coordinating the review of complex development projects, and ensuring that the interests of reviewing agencies and departments, as well as the public, are addressed in the review process. Her organizational skills and clear writing style help the reviewing body and the public understand and weigh the issues related to a project. 

Before joining M-Group, Leslie served as Planning Manager for Foster City, which included overseeing the Planning and Code Enforcement Division as well as administration of the redevelopment agency and affordable housing programs.

Leslie has a B.A. in Environmental Planning from U.C. Santa Cruz and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from San Jose State University.

In her spare time, you might also find Leslie riding one of her motorcycles, going spelunking or some other high adventure activity with Girl Scouts or leading a church trip to build houses or drill wells in a foreign country.
