Shannon’s experience spans the community development and public health sectors, working in both government and non-profits. She specializes in community engagement, research, and planning for healthy and equitable communities. New to M-Group, Shannon is excited to delve deeper into the city planning and policy realm on a range of projects in the North Bay.

Shannon previously worked as a Community Development Researcher for San Francisco’s Treasure Island, a Program Officer with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and a Housing Research Analyst for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Policy, Development, and Research. This experience has empowered her with a depth of knowledge to be innovative and help make communities be more equitable, healthy, and thrive.

Shannon received a Master of Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American and Latino Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

A native of the Bay Area, Shannon has lived in Sonoma and Alameda Counties, as well as Mexico City, Washington DC, and Cincinnati. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has traveled extensively in Central and South America. Shannon also enjoys hiking, good food, and playing cello in her local civic orchestra.
