Jelani Mora

Assistant Planner

Jelani Mora is a rising planner with experience in research, policy analysis, and team management. He is a recent graduate of UCLA, earning a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Public Affairs. While in school, Jelani led an assessment of Los Angeles City Parking Ordinances with a focus on metered spaces and accessible parking. The group’s findings and recommendations were presented to community stakeholders and city officials. 

Jelani is a first-generation college graduate passionate about mentorship and education; he values team development. He is a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholar, completing numerous community service projects with the organization, including a service trip to Tanzania. Jelani is also an alumnus and speaker at the Principles of Sucess Motivational Program, a USC-based network for young Black men. 

These experiences motivate Jelani to work towards a more equitable and sustainable Bay Area through his work at M-Group. He is interested in public transportation, traffic management, policy, and the environment. Jelani is excited to further his data analysis and planning skills to help clients achieve their planning objectives. 

Outside of work, Jelani enjoys photography, discovering new music, and exploring natural and urban spaces.
