Krystle Rizzi

PRINCIPAL Planner

Krystle is a planner with a broad range of planning interests. She has strong written and oral communication skills and a can-do work ethic. Krystle has been with M-Group since 2017 and, during that time, has found her passion for environmental review. She currently serves as a Project Manager for several environmental review projects throughout the Bay Area.

Before joining M-Group, Krystle worked at the City of San Jose’s Department of Transportation as a Walk n’ Roll (Safe Routes to School) Specialist. She performed walk audits and field observations to improve the safety of walking routes, worked with the community to increase program participation, tracked program data, and completed research on best practices.

In 2016, Krystle earned a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from San Jose State University. Her graduate thesis examined students’ perceptions of danger and the reality of danger when walking to school in San Jose, and how Safe Routes to School can bridge the gap and increase active transportation for San Jose youth. Krystle also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Planning from Sonoma State University.

Outside of work, Krystle enjoys spending time with her partner, being outdoors, reading, and stargazing.
