ASSISTANT Planner
Po Johnson began his career at M-Group as an intern while completing a City and Regional Planning Bachelor’s degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. His demonstrated forward-thinking and creative insight earned him the position of Assistant Planner – easily transitioning from student to professional.
Po is focused on his pursuit of community-minded solutions and bringing a new approach to the planning field. Po embraces technology and utilizes skills developed from a personal hobby of software and web programming to the logic of the planning profession. His combination of technological know-how, consciousness of current inequities, and resourcefulness in identifying sustainable solutions to complicated planning issues make him a promising contributor to the future of Bay Area communities.
Po’s unique background, including leading youth performance groups and earning the Eagle Scout distinction bestowed by the Scouts of America, have brought him continuously searching for opportunities to improve the world around him. He enjoys the outdoors, loves to hike, and enjoys cooking and reading.
